Aegon I

Lord of Dragonstone, one of the remaining parts of Valryrian Empire, that had been destroyed a few centuries before, tried to invade Westeros nearly conquering all territories. After this he was called with the legendary name of “The Conqueror”.

Powerful and good-looking warrior, married wiht his two sisters Visenya and Rhaenys, with them he led a small army riding their three famous dragons Balerion, Vhagar e Meraxes, names of ancient valyrian divinities, and using the valryrian steel sword Blackfire. His soldiers landed in the place where he later founded King’s Landing, capital city of the kingdom.

Briefly he conquered all the lands from the Wall to Dorne’s mountains, this was the only kingdom that resisted because people didn’t use to form big armies, in this way he wasn’t able to use dragons differently from what he had done in Firefields battle.

When the war ended, Aegon, with swords of enemies defeated and the dragon’s fire forged the famous Ironthrone, nowadays simbol of Seven Kingdoms’ ruler.

Aegon V

Fourth son of King Maekar I Targaryen, he is one of the most famous charachters in the past.

His nickname, when he was young, was Egg, because he had cut his long hairs in order to hide the unmistakable silvery colour of them, typical Targaryian feature, and so living as a common person.

In his youth he became equerry of the hedge knight ser Duncan the Tall, and with him travelled in Seven Kingdoms, learning common people’s life. In order to defend ser Duncan in Ashford died Baelor Targaryen “breakspear” heir to the Iron Throne and King’s Hand, incidentally killed by his younger brother Maekar, Egg’s father, who became king later.

In 233 Aegon V became king too, woth the nickname of “Improbable” because he was fourth son of a fourth son. Ser Duncan was the white guard commander.

His kingdom was one of the last happy moments in Westeros. He died in the tragic accident in Summerhall in 259, where he tried to bring life to dragon’s eggs.

Aegor Rivers

Known as "Bittersteel", he was a bastard son of Aegon IV "the Unworthy”, and of his fifth official lover lady Barba Bracken. He had black hairs, but violet eyes.

His life was full of sadness from when Aegon sent away his mother in order to have a new lover: a Blackwood, historical enemy of Bracken House. He became a good warrior and strategist, hard and angry with the world.

When Daemon Blackfire started his rebellion, Bittersteel was one of his most important supporters and when Daemon died in the Redgrass battle, Bittersteel became the commander in chief of his army. Very famous was his duel with "Bloodraven", where nobody had lost.

When all was lost, Acreacciaio took Blackfire, the valyrian sword of his half-brother and of all targaryen kings , and escaped in the Free cities where he founded a sellsword company “The golden company” and from them he continued to improve rebellions with Daemon’s sons.

This beahviour led Jon Arryn, Eddard Stark e Robert Baratheon to revolt against him and to end of Targaryen dinasty and the beginning of Baratheon dynasty.

He often acted in fits of anger, so he was very bad with his presumed enemies and in that moments he was injured many times while he was sitting on the Iron Throne. In his late kingdom, he had goy the habit of burning alive his enemies in the wildifire and he didn’t allow to bring blades while he was in a place, even in order to cut his hairs and his nails: so he became ugly.

The Winterfell's Lord has always preserved a sad memory of the knight, toward which he felt a strong admiration.
