LORD JON ARRYN
Lord of the Eyrie, Jon Arryn was a second father for Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon.
When King Aerys II Targaryen killed Ned’s father and brother and after Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna Stark, Ned’s sister and Robert’s fiancée, Jon Arryn sided with his proteges.
After war’s end, he became King Robert’s Hand and kept the position for fifteen years.
Although he was very old, his sudden death gave rise to some doubt. Jon Arryn’s death is the beginning of the saga.
He has an eight years old son, Robert, and Jon called him like this in honour of King Robert Baratheon. Lady Lysa Tully is his third wife.
JON'S WIFE
LADY LYSA TULLY
Lysa Tully is the second daughter of Lord Hoster Tully of Riverrun and the third wife of Lord Jon Arryn of The Eyrie. Lysa and Robert have only one son, Robert, that has a delicate health and a capricious temper. After Jon’s death, Robert became Lord of The Eyrie, even if Lysa really ruled on the Vale.
Lady Lysa has long black hair, she is smaller than her sister Catelyn, she put on weight with age; she has a pale and swollen face with a little mouth but she has wonderful blue eyes of Tully.
Lysa is very suspicious toward all the people, even toward her sister Catelyn.
She had a lot of pretenders but she doesn’t want to marry again: her wedding with Jon Arryn was combined by Lord Hoster Tully, because of this now she wants to decide personally her husband.
JON'S SON
ROBERT ARRYN
Robert Arryn is Lady Lysa Tully and Lord Jon Aryn’s son. Robert Arryn is five years old, at the beginning of the story, but he has a frail build and a delicate health. Completely different from his father, Robert has not pride and he never abandons his rag doll. Lady Lysa is very protective towards her son, but this attitude doesen’t improve Robert’s health. Robert is an only child, then, after Jon’s death, he became Lord of Eyrie.
