House Frey

Frey-of-the-Crossing.gif

Rich, powerful and numerous, the Freys of the Green Fork are banners of House Tully; indeed their swords sweared loyalty to Riverrun, but they had not been always busy in achieving their duties.

When Robert Baratheon confronted Rhaegar Targaryen on the Trident, Freys arrived only when the battle was finished and, from that time, Lord Hoster Tully always called Lord Walder “the latecomer Lord Frey”.

Lord Walder has by now outrun the ninety years of age, but he took recently the eighth marriage, with a lady of seventy years less than him.

It’s said about Lord Frey that he is the only lord of the Seven Kingdoms who could line up an army, entirely composed by his own relatives.

Frey’s emblem represents two blue towers on silver-grey field.
