 House Karstark

Karstark-of-Karhold.gif

The origin of this House goes back to Karlon Stark, a younger son of Winterfell, who received lands for having put down a rebel lord.

The castle that he ordered to build took the name of Karl’s Hold, that soon changed in Karhold, and the Starks of Karhold became the Karstarks.

Their emblem is a white sun on black field and their motto is “The Sun of Winter”.
