The Seven Kingdoms
They are a realm founded in Western continent, which in the Free Cities is called also Westeros, or Kingdom of Sunset, or Long summer Land.
Before Targaryen unified the territory,
They actually were seven separate kingdoms:
North, West, the East Valley, the Reach, the Iron Islands, the Riverlands, and Dorne, which was conquered by Daeron Targaryen, the Young Dragon.
The KING'S ROAD is the main road that from Storm's End comes to the Wall, crossing the whole realm. In particular, is the road that from Winterfell leads to King's Landing. From Storm’s End to King’s Landing develops almost in a straight line.
Southwards ( from the Wall), there are several forts and villages of peasants. The landscape is nice: hills and fields and terraced interspersed with pastures, forests and narrow valleys where willows grow so thick that they slow the current of streams.
To its sides there are several orchards, and there are also forests, woods and carefully cultivated fields, small villages, crowded market and solid pillboxes.
Towards the Trident, the King’s Road is reduced to two furrows between the weeds, the way continues winding on the one hand to the other, getting mixed up with smaller paths, harshest,
sometimes even vanishing totally, and then return to reappear like a league beyond.
The most important houses of the Seven Kingdoms are: Stark of Winterfell and protectors of the North; Tully of The Riverlands, who are based in Riverrun; Greyjoy of the Iron Islands; Lannister of Casterly Rock, protectors of Westerlands; Arryn of the Eyre, Lords of Vale;
Baratheon of the Storm’s End, where the lord Robert is the king of the Seven Kingdoms; Tyrell of the Reach, lords of High Garden; and finally, Martell of the SunSpear, principles of Dorne.
