House Stark
The Starks have their foundation by Brand the Builder and from the ancient Winter Kings.
For thousand of years they dominated from Winterfell as Kings of the North, until Torrhen Stark, the kneeled king, chose to swear loyalty to Aegon the Dragon instead of opposing him in battle.
Their emblem is a grey direwolf on white-ice field. Their motto is “Winter is coming”.
